1.   Our vision is to be a worshiping, praying congregation such that we see not what we can do so much as what God can do through us as we worship Him, seek His face, and put Him first in our lives.

Worship fuels our faith as we focus on who God is.  Prayer affords fellowship both with one another and with Christ, and opens the door for God to work in powerful ways that bring glory to Him.

2.   In our musical expression of worship, we seek to use a blend: (1) the classic hymns and gospel songs sung in a contemporary style with contemporary accompaniment; and (2) newer music, such as contemporary worship songs (such as “Worthy Is the Lamb / Thank You for the Cross, Lord”) and contemporary hymns (such as “In Christ Alone,” “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us,” and “See, What a Morning”).

3.   In addition to worship and prayer, discipleship and training are vitally important, being commanded by Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).  In addition to the teaching/preaching time that is a major part of the Sunday Worship Service, discipleship and training occur in the Sunday School hour.  The adult Sunday School also provides for nurture, fellowship and spiritual growth in a group setting.

4.   Evangelism is essential to the life of the church, being also commanded by Christ in His Great Commission.  We offer an annual evangelistic course for seekers and for the refreshment of believers – Exploring Christianity – which runs for ten consecutive weeks, one weeknight evening each week.  Other means of evangelistic outreach are employed and are under consideration.

5.   We know that people lead busy lives, and only a few things are essential and necessary.  Therefore church programs and offerings are kept to a minimum.  It is our desire that congregation members have and take time for pursuing a personal, authentic walk with God, and for spending time with one another and with family members, friends and neighbors who are outside the church.
